Education – Family Studies (Intermediate/Senior only)

Courses can be chosen in consultation with a Faculty of Education adviser or the subject course director. 24 credits in the teaching subject area must be completed prior to enrolling in ED/FAST 3051 6.00. All nine credit courses will be counted as six credits towards the teaching subject.

First Teaching Subject

Candidates must complete 36 credits from courses having a family focus in humanities, psychology, social sciences or sociology, or 18 credits with a combination of family-focused courses across humanities, psychology, social sciences or sociology and 18 credits from early childhood education, health studies, business or administrative studies, or fashion studies.

Second Teaching Subject

Candidates must complete 24 credits from courses having a family focus in humanities, psychology, social sciences or sociology, or 12 credits with a combination of family focused courses across humanities, psychology, social sciences or sociology and 12 credits from early childhood education, health studies, business or administrative studies, or fashion studies.
