Living on campus presents an opportunity for undergraduate students to experience a diverse community and make lifelong friends while being conveniently situated at the centre of social, cultural and academic life, with a wide array of campus services at their doorstep.

York has approximately 2,500 beds available for undergraduate students across eight buildings on the Keele campus and an additional 400 on the Glendon campus. Most residences are arranged in a traditional style with comfortably furnished double and single rooms, and shared common lounges and washrooms. With most rooms, students will purchase a meal plan that can be conveniently used at over 40 food outlets offering a wide selection of food types on the Keele campus and a main dining hall and fast food outlet at the Glendon campus. York’s Keele campus also has some limited space available in suite-style units where groups of two to six students share a small kitchen, lounge and in-suite washroom. Residence costs will vary according to accommodation styles; however, students should budget about $8,500 and $9,500 to cover the room and meal plan fees for the fall/winter academic year (eight-month period).

Undergraduate students who are registered and enrolled in a full-time program (at least 9 credits per academic term) are eligible to apply for residences. Information about how to apply online to residence will be included with your offer of admission to York.

York University Apartments

Conveniently located on the Keele campus, York apartments offer 1,250 self-contained living units to eligible graduate students, law students, students with families and mature undergraduate students who are 21 years of age or over. Apartments are available in both furnished and unfurnished options including bachelor, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
