Honours Majors
Students must complete the requirements of either
the Honours BA (critical, historical and theoretical studies) or
the Honours BFA (production/screenwriting) degree.
Specialized Honours BFA Program - 60 Credits
in Film & Video:
- FA/FILM 1010 3.0 and FA/FILM 1020 3.0;
- FA/FILM 1400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2010 6.0; FA/FILM 2020 3.0; FA/FILM
2120 6.0; FA/FILM 2400 6.0;
- 27 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level, 21
of which are from among the studio (production/screenwriting)
courses.
Specialized Honours BA Program - Critical,
Historical and Theoretical Studies - 48 Credits in Film & Video:
- FA/FILM 1400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 1410 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2040 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2400 6.0
- FA/FILM 3410 3.0;
- FA/FILM 4800 3.0;
- 18 further credits at the 3000 or 4000 level,
including at least three credits at the 4000 level.
Honours Double Major Interdisciplinary BA
Program - 36 Credits in Film & Video:
Film and video (film studies) majors must co-major
in communication studies in the Faculty of Arts.
- FA/FILM 1400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 4800 3.0;
- 21 additional credits in film and video,
including at least three credits at the 3000 or 4000 level and
12 credits at either the 3000 or 4000 level.
Honours Minor - 30 Credits:
- FA/FILM 1400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2400 6.0;
- 18 further credits in film history and criticism.
BA Program - Critical, Historical and Theoretical
Studies - 42 Credits in Film & Video:
- FA/FILM 1400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 1410 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2040 6.0;
- FA/FILM 2400 6.0;
- FA/FILM 3410 3.0;
- 15 additional credits in film & video,
including at least nine at the 3000 or 4000 level.
