for the Bachelor of Arts Degree
Number of Courses Required for a Second or Subsequent
BA Degree
12.
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree or equivalent
at an accredited postsecondary institution, and who wish to earn
a BA through Glendon College in a different subject may be admitted
to the BA program on the following conditions:
- a)
They must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 5.0
on all previous courses for admission to an Honours program or
a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 on all previous courses
for admission to a Bachelor program;
- b)
They must satisfy the following in-Faculty requirements (courses
taken in fulfillment of the first degree may not be used to meet
this requirement): a minimum of 30 new credits at York, including
at least 50 per cent of the credits required in their major and
minor within the Faculty of Glendon College;
- c)
They must also satisfy all the requirements in the major/minor
subject(s);
- d)
The in-Faculty requirements must be regarded as the minimum number
of additional courses; if the department does not award credit
towards the major/minor for courses taken in fulfillment of the
previous degree, the required number of courses may well exceed
that number;
- e)
All other applicable requirements of the University must be fulfilled.
