Fine Arts Cultural Studies Faculty of Fine Arts
Programs of Study Fine arts cultural studies (FACS) welcomes students with wide-ranging interests across the fine, performing and new media arts, and offers an opportunity to explore them from various interdisciplinary perspectives set within the critical frameworks. Course options consider the arts through cultural histories and theory, issues in contemporary and popular culture, cross-cultural studies, studio practices--including FACS' new media stream--and arts administration. Students pursuing Honours Major or Minor programs in Fine Arts Cultural Studies are required to take a minimum of 30 credits from the FACS offerings. For other Faculty of Fine Arts students, FACS courses count as fine arts or free electives. Some FACS courses are open to all students in the University as electives. Please note: not all courses are offered every year.
