University regulations governing The Sale, Service and Use of Alcohol on Campus are at http://www.yorku.ca/secretariat/policies/document.php?document=36.

Specific areas in the University are approved for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages under York's policies and licences granted to various independent campus caterers by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO); these are available as appendix I to the above and at http://www.yorku.ca/univsec/policies/background_docs/Alcohol%20Procedures/040702%20Alcohol%20Procedures.revisedappendixI.pdf. For those areas not covered under a caterer's licence, a letter of approval must be obtained from the food services department to accompany an application for a special occasion permit.
