Mathematics

Courses are to be chosen in consultation with an education mathematics adviser. The following courses, or approved equivalents, must be included:

  • a calculus course, usually: AS/SC/MATH 1000 3.0/1010 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 1013 3.0/1014 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 1300 3.0/1310 3.0 or AK/MATH 1410 6.0;
  • linear algebra, usually: AS/SC/MATH 1021 3.0/2022 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 2221 3.0/2222 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 1025 3.0/2222 3.0 or AK/MATH 2220 6.0;
  • probability and statistics, usually: AS/SC/MATH 1131 3.0/2030 3.0 or AK/AS/SC/MATH 2030 3.0/2131 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 2560 3.0/2570 3.0 or AK/MATH 2560 3.0/2570 3.0;
  • proof-based mathematics, usually: AS/SC/MATH 1190 3.0/2320 3.0 or AS/SC/MATH 3020 6.0 or AS/SC/MATH 3140 6.0 or AS/SC/MATH 3050 6.0.
