Certificate of Proficiency in German Language

This certificate is open to any degree or visiting student from within the University. It is not, however, open to students pursuing a degree in German within the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics.

To apply for the certificate, students must have successfully completed at least 12 credits in German language in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics as follows:

  • AS/GER 2000 6.0;
  • and AS/GER 3000 6.0, with a minimum grade of B;
  • and a written examination and an oral interview.

Note: Students who are exempted from an intermediate level language course must take another course taught in the language of the discipline.
