Smoking Regulations

All Ontario Universities and Colleges are bound by the requirements of the Tobacco Control Act, which was passed on November 30, 1994. Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed areas on campus except in specified areas within restaurants and billiard halls. Effective June 1, 2001 and June 1, 2004 respectively, smoking will also be prohibited within restaurants and billiard halls, unless the facility is provided with a designated smoking room. This legislation applies to everyone - students, faculty, employees and visitors - at the Glendon and Keele campuses.
