Primary/Junior Program

The Primary/Junior program is open to prospective teachers who wish to teach grades JK to 6.

Teacher candidates should ensure that they complete at least 30 credits in their major for salary categorization.

Since the P/J teacher must be a generalist, it is strongly recommended that candidates in the Primary/Junior program take as part of their coregistered program:

• 6 credits in Science
• 6 credits in Fine Arts
• 6 credits in History or Geography
• 6 credits in English or Humanities
• 6 credits in Mathematics
• 6 credits in Kinesiology and Health Science
