in the Faculty of Arts. Students must take at least 36 credits in
the Canadian Studies program and at least 36 credits in the comajor

total of at least 18 credits at the 4000 level, including at least
6 credits in Canadian Studies and 6 credits in the departmental/divisional
major. For further details of requirements, see the listings for
specific Honours Double Major Interdisciplinary BA programs.
The 36 credits in Canadian Studies must include: AS/SOSC 2200

Normally students shall select at least 36 credits in their major
subject, including at least 6 credits at the 2000 level (if available)
and 6 credits at the 4000 level in the Canadian field. At least
18 credits in the major subject shall be outside the Canadian field.
In addition, students will select at least 36 credits in the field
of Canadian Studies outside their major subject.
One of the aims of the program is to ensure that upon graduation
all students have a working knowledge of both official languages.
